A Peek between the pages of A Demon’s Witch
Flames exploded from a bowl of manicure solution, melted it right to the granite tabletop. Bruce Sahwyn watched from his glass office on the mezzanine, the activities on the first floor of his highly successful, Wycked Hair Salon. He touched a control panel in his office increasing the air filtration in the salon, then tapped the button on his head set. “Owen, what the hell is going on down there?”
Suddenly, he felt the magic aura shift and switched his attention to the front door. She breezed in, hair like spun gold flowing to her waist, with a seductive yet regal body and a sway to her hips that should be illegal even in DC. She wore a snug rose and cream colored sweater, cut low enough he could see the swells of her rounded breasts, tailored black slacks that fit her cute ass like a glove and four-inch spike heels. She paused in the center of the salon, wet from the sudden spring storm, and lowered the briefcase she’d used as an umbrella. Her sparkling violet eyes glanced up to the mezzanine where Bruce stood watching. Blatantly her gaze wandered over his well-muscled body, undressing him piece by piece, until he felt naked. He shook his head slightly and smoothed his shirt and slacks with his hand, just to make sure he was still wearing them

Wrapped Up With You was that book this week. A great heartwarming holiday tale with sizzle. Best of all I get to revisit my favorite characters from Pacific Vista Ranch Series. This time around Jake’s brother Rafael meets his match in a fiery, opinionated co-worker Phoebe. Forced to work a holiday party together in order to reel in a couple of high profile clients, the night leads to the unexpected. No going back Phoebe and Rafael forge ahead with holiday plans that include a family gathering with all my favorite characters from the series and a few new ones. Ms. Marti’s characters are well rounded and her descriptions make you feel like you are right there with the characters experiencing their highs, lows, and embarrassing moments.
I highly recommend Wrapped Up With You for your holiday reading or may be enjoyed any time of year.

passion of mine is reading a good novel. You can find me any winter
evening curled up in front of a crackling fire with a good book, a
mug of hot chocolate, and a big bowl of popcorn. While growing up, if
I didn’t like the ending of a book, I’d rewrite it, which led to
writing my own books.
I discovered that in real life it’s tough to rewrite an ending.

Several trees had a slight glow to them, then it was gone. Am I imagining…She raised her arms out from her sides and turned her face to the starlit sky, letting the magic surge through her. It had been almost a year since magic of any kind called to her. It felt so good, she was lost in the moment. Suddenly, she heard footsteps that came to an abrupt stop.
“You ready?” A deep resounding voice asked.
She paused and frowned. “‘S’pose so. We need to decorate your cabin too.”
“I was thinking about having a cabin decorating party. You know singing Christmas carols around the tree after we finish decorating it and the cabin. Mugs of hot chocolate, hot apple cider, an informal dinner maybe invite Jim and Penny, Zac can bring his friend, then you and me? It’s been a long time…” He appeared lost in thought.
She waited a couple beats and grinned.”The loan spruce tree out front of the cabin is begging for bright multi-colored lights.” She winked at him wiggling her fingers. “I could arrange for that to happen.”
“Frivolously use of magic? Not a good example for Zak.”
“I beg to differ with you, sir. It’s for everyone to enjoy. Your family, my family and by the time I’m done, the whole town will be able to see the tree. I mean enjoy it.” She snickered.
