Sneak peek at A Demon’s Witch!
A feeling of dark foreboding, like storm clouds forming on the horizon before a violent storm, washed over Bruce as he maneuvered the SUV into the parking lot behind The Krystal Unicorn.
Tristian was already there and it wasn’t to give his report. Bruce could feel the fury in Tristian’s magic signature hanging in the air. A silver tipped arrow penetrated the windshield, split the arm securing the rearview mirror, and stuck in the headrest a quarter inch from Bruce’s neck. Blue liquid oozed from the tip and a stream of red mist escaped from the other end of the arrow.
“Hold your breath and don’t open the door or windows. The influx of fresh air will spread the poison.” He hissed though his teeth not daring to take a breath.
Air pressure inside the vehicle changed, Angie’s head felt like it was going to explode. Bruce. She whispered into his mind, a benefit of being mated.
I know, just a few seconds more, I’ve got it handled. His deep smooth voice floated reassuringly in her mind, as he reached over caressing her shoulder.
The pressure eased and the red mist sucked in on itself disappearing along with the oozing liquid. He pulled the arrow from the headrest, fingering the hole in the upholstery.
Through gritted teeth, Bruce growled. “His first mistake was that he missed me. His second deadly mistake was he risked your life. That is unforgivable.” Those two things also told Bruce that Tristian wasn’t thinking clearly, fury was coloring his judgment. That gave Bruce an edge, though the attack caught him off guard. He hadn’t expected Tristian’s attack to put his sister at risk.
The console between them lowered to seat level. He hoped to add fuel to the fury burning inside Tristian. Bruce put his arm around Angie’s waist and pulled her against him, his lips pressed against hers then gently covered her mouth as his tongue traced the soft fullness of her lips. He drew back, touched his lips to hers again trailing them down to the pulsing hollow of her neck and whispered, “You’re going into the shop now, Willow is waiting just on the other side of the door. Please stay there, you’ll be able to remain in my mind just don’t interfere. I need your presence there as a calming one. Willow can help you.”
“I don’t understand.”
“I know. There wasn’t time to explain how everything works and I’m not exactly sure myself. Only that I can feel you in my mind and I assume you can feel me in yours.”
“Yes, it’s a weird sensation,” Angie said a tremor in her voice.
“We’ll learn together to use it to our benefit, now is as good a time as any to practice.”
She snorted, “Sure, our lives are on the line. No big deal.” She threw up her hands.
“That’s the spirit.” He grinned raising his head and cupping her trembling chin in his steady hand, not taking his eyes off hers. “Believe me when I tell you, I won’t kill your brother. Although he is making it damn difficult. Nor do I believe he will kill me. Though that is his intention, right now. So put those thoughts out of your mind, they won’t help either of us.”

Books I Loved but Never Wrote a Review For #L&SR #WednesdayBlogChallenge 8-7-19
Welcome to L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge, Books I Loved but Never Wrote a Review For. Shame on me!

This may be cheating but I read every single one of the Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon books (several times) without a thought of review. We were required to do book reports on at least ten books that we read over the summer. Thought I read probably hundreds of books over the summer. I
was a voracious reader as a child. Naw that hasn’t changed.
Back then I hated doing book reports with a passion. A review falls in the same category. Wait a minute, that hasn’t changed either. Only now I’m happy to review the books that I enjoyed, because I know how important it is. It’s all part of being a grown-up. Not that I claim to be one, just that‘s it part of being one. LOL
Anyway, as an adult, I read Nora Roberts, The Witness, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but nope, didn’t review it. Shame on me. In my defense, I doubt she missed it.
As much as I enjoy all of Molly Harper’s books, I didn’t review those either. Again, figured she wouldn’t miss my reviews.
My story and I’m sticking to it.
I could go on and on, but there you have it Books I Loved but Never Wrote a Review For Do you have a book you loved you didn’t write a review for? List them in the comments. Alas, I need to get back to my writing cave and the WIP, so let’s see what the other authors in this blog challenge claim as their Favorite food and what recipes they have shared: L&SR

Pizza -Favorite Food and How I Use It -#L&SR #WednesdayBlogChallenge 7-31-19
Welcome to L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge Favorite Food and How I use it. First let me say that Pizza is my very favorite food group. LOL Due to health issues, Pizza was scratched from my allowed diet. No way I could live with that. Sooo… One of my author friends, Peggy Jaeger, came to the rescue with a yummy Whole Wheat Pizza Crust recipe. Thought I’d share it with you.

INGREDIENTS:
2 1/4 teaspoons (one 1/4 ounce package) active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (110- 120 degrees)
2 teaspoons sugar, divided
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour, plus more for dusting
3/4 teaspoons salt
1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
In a small bowl combine yeast, water and 1 teaspoon sugar; Let sit for five minutes.
In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, combine 2 cups flour, salt and remaining teaspoon sugar. Make a well in the center. Add yeast mixture and olive oil.
Stir with a wooden spoon or the paddle attachment until the dough just comes together. Knead, either by hand or in a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, for about 5 minutes (2-3 minutes if using a stand mixer). As you knead, add remaining 1/4 cup flour in small increments, just until dough is no longer sticky. (You may not need to add the full 1/4 cup)
Shape dough into a ball. Place in a lightly greased bowl, turn once to coat, and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise at room temperature until doubled, about 1 hour (up to 2 hours).
Punch down risen dough and place on a lightly floured surface. Shape dough into a ball. Either wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate/freeze for later use, or bake right away.
To bake, preheat oven to 475 degrees F. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to desired crust thickness and place on a pizza stone or baking sheet. Add your desired sauce and toppings. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. Let rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
At least with this crust and a few less toppings, I can have my beloved pizza at least twice a month. Yippee.
Well there you have it My Favorite Food and How I Use It plus the recipe. Do you have a favorite food or recipe? List them in the comments. Alas, I need to get back to my WIP, so let’s see what the other authors in this blog challenge claim as their Favorite food and what recipes they have shared: L&SR

A sneak peek at A Witch’s Holiday Wedding.
After she set her glass down, Lathen brushed a couple strands of hair out of her eyes and searched her face. “Are you all right?”
“I’m tired, my wedding is in a couple weeks, I have ghosts fighting over who is going to do what. Guests that have no idea the place is haunted and… Your family and pack, my parents, Gwen… To top it all off, the head of my clan, who is a ghost, is sitting in front of me wanting to know who is coming to the wedding and whether the ghosts will be outed. How could I possibly be all right?”
“When you put it that way.” Lathen chuckled. “It sounds just a bit… I don’t know…crazy?” His right eyebrow winged up. She saw mischief sparkle in his eyes. “We could still elope,” he offered.
“No sir. Not after all the trouble—Not on me watch.” Aidan’s ghostly form shook his head so vehemently his upper torso blurred.
